ABOUT

We are a small business which was born out of a love of French vintage items,

and the thrill of finding them during our extensive travels around northern and western France.

We bought a "project" in Sarthe, Pays de la Loire nearly two years ago and we are currently roughly midway through the process of renovating it.

However, progress can be quite slow as when we are in France (to work) it is impossible to resist the many brocantes, vides greniers and flea markets etc in the villages and towns across northern and western France but the thrill of rummaging around and finding something that little bit different is so exciting and worth it!

Originally, our finds were specifically for the house but the collection grew and started to take over, hence our online shop, 36ruebasse was created. We now travel quite regularly to France to find new stock for the shop (and do some work)

    We also have a passion for giving furniture and lighting a new lease of life and never buy new, so we have now started to add pre-loved items to the shop.

All our sold items are packaged securely and with regard to the environment, we use recycled packing materials as much as possible. To keep costs down, we mainly use postal services and all packages are tracked and insured. However, if alternative methods of delivery is required, this can be arranged.

 We take pride in bringing these unique finds to you and hope you discover your something a little bit different!
